How we approach a roof

A roof is not an isolated product. It meets walls, windows, hatches, mechanicals, and drainage. Storm Shield evaluates the conditions you ask us to review, explains what we find in plain language, and prepares a written scope when work is appropriate.

We do not publish insurance, hurricane, product-life, warranty, or code-compliance promises on this page. Those subjects belong in a property-specific conversation.

Roof inspections

An inspection is a structured look at the roof you have: field conditions, flashings, penetrations, drainage, and visible interior clues when access is available. You receive a clear explanation of what we observed so you can decide next steps.

Leak investigation and repairs

When water is showing up inside, the first job is to understand the path. We investigate leaks and repair the details that are failing — flashings, penetrations, pitch pans, roof hatches, and related conditions — when repair is the responsible path.

Full replacement

When the system is beyond repair, we plan a replacement as a construction project: scope, materials discussion, sequence, permitting, and completion. Completed reroofs include tile, metal, shingle, TPO, flat, and low-slope roofing systems.

Silicone roof restoration

Restoration coatings when the existing system is a candidate — not as a slogan, but after evaluation.

Preventive maintenance

Regular attention to drainage, flashings, and exposed details can keep a sound roof working longer. Maintenance is scoped to the property. It is not a substitute for replacement when the system is at the end of its serviceable life.

Details that decide whether a roof holds

  • Flashings at walls, curbs, and transitions
  • Penetrations and pitch pans
  • Roof hatches and mechanical openings
  • Edges, scuppers, and drainage paths

Building envelope

South Florida waterproofing specialists

Water intrusion is not always caused by the main roofing surface. Storm Shield evaluates the entire building envelope to identify vulnerable areas and develop the appropriate repair or waterproofing solution.

  • Roof leaks and moisture intrusion
  • Roof penetrations and pitch pans
  • Flashing details
  • Flat and low-slope roof systems
  • Balconies and elevated decks
  • Exterior wall and stucco cracks
  • Parapet walls
  • Roof-to-wall connections
  • Sealants and protective coatings
  • Drainage-related problem areas
  • Preventive waterproofing
  • Commercial and condominium waterproofing

Condominium and association roofing

Association roofs need a scope a board can review and a manager can schedule. Storm Shield prepares professional proposals for condominium and HOA work and coordinates the project from evaluation through completion. See also Commercial & Associations.
